About Us
Strength in Every Spectrum
We believe every neurodivergent adult deserves a community where they are fully seen, celebrated, and supported — not in spite of who they are, but because of it.
Our Mission
Creating Connection, One Gathering at a Time
Spectrum of Strength, Inc. is a New Jersey-based nonprofit dedicated to creating safe, inclusive, and sensory-friendly social opportunities for neurodivergent adults. We reduce isolation, build genuine friendships, and celebrate the unique strengths that every individual brings to our community.
Belonging
Every person deserves a place where they are welcomed exactly as they are — no masking required.
Celebration
We don't just accept neurodiversity — we celebrate it as a source of creativity, perspective, and strength.
Safety
Our spaces are thoughtfully designed to be sensory-friendly, low-pressure, and emotionally safe for all participants.
Inclusion
We actively remove barriers — physical, sensory, and social — so that everyone can participate fully and joyfully.
Empowerment
We believe in the capacity of every neurodivergent adult to grow, connect, and lead a fulfilling social life.
Community
Lasting change happens together. We build networks of support among participants, families, volunteers, and allies.
Our Vision
A World Where Neurodivergent Adults Thrive
We envision a future where every neurodivergent adult — regardless of diagnosis, background, or ability level — has access to a vibrant, welcoming community. A world where the word 'different' is synonymous with 'valuable,' and where social connection is a right, not a privilege.
I started this because I wanted my son to have a place to belong. Now I want that for every neurodivergent adult in our community.

Founder Story
Born from a Mother's Love and Determination
Leonora J. Grayson — Founder & Executive Director
Spectrum of Strength was founded by Leonora J. Grayson, a New Jersey mother whose journey into the world of neurodiversity began with her own son. As he transitioned out of the structured school environment, Leonora watched him lose access to the social connections and support systems that had helped him grow.
She saw firsthand the isolation that so many neurodivergent adults face after leaving school — the loss of routine, community, and belonging. Determined to change this reality not just for her son but for every family navigating the same challenge, she founded Spectrum of Strength in 2024.
Leonora's vision was simple but powerful: create spaces where neurodivergent adults could show up exactly as they are, make real friends, try new things, and discover just how much strength they carry within them. Every event, every gathering, every workshop is a reflection of that original vision.
